Jessica, Cecile and Bryn are best friends from college. Cecile is the golden girl: beautiful, wealthy, married to a wonderful man and a lovely person as well. Then one sunny day she’s killed in a terrible accident. She had life so sorted out – how could this have happened to her?

After her tragic death, her husband and her best friends are devastated. But six months later, Jesse is dating Cecile’s widower, Zach. They are falling in love. Is it so wrong for Jesse to be seeing her best friend’s husband? And is it really love, or is it two people trying to comfort each other after a tragedy? Will Cecile’s ghost be forever between them, or can Jesse find real happiness for herself?
