"This is a well-crafted and often very funny novel about young people thrown together in India during the Bangladesh crisis of 1971, including a bunch of hippies and an inexperienced war correspondent. The story is well-crafted, the characters and dialogue enjoyable, there are laughs and plenty of nice jokes and observations, especially at the expense of the newspaper business. All in all, an enjoyable, warm-hearted book. Recommended." Five Stars
"It's hard to believe that this is Duncan Campbell's first novel, it's so well written and paced. The historical details provide a rich background to the gripping events that unfold throughout the story, giving an added depth that a great many modern thrillers lack.
This is a fantastic book and would be enjoyed by anyone who likes a good murder mystery, a multi-layered character-driven plot or simply a great story told very well. I'm already looking forward to Mr Campbell's second novel." Five Stars
