About the Author:
Carolyn Turgeon was born in Michigan and grew up in Illinois, Texas, Michigan and Pennsylvania. After graduating from Penn State, she earned a Master's in Comparative Literature from UCLA, and spent several years in New York working as a writer and editor. GODMOTHER: THE SECRET CINDERELLA STORY is her second novel. Her first, RAIN VILLAGE, was published in 2006 and she's currently working on her third, about a woman who is half mermaid. She now lives in Pennsylvania, where she bellydances and plays the accordion. She loves old movies, burlesque shows, and drinking pink cocktails at the Algonquin Hotel.

Carolyn’s Favourite Fairy Recipe:
Ingredients
Serves 10
- 1/2 cup Lavender Honey
- 4 large egg yolks
- 2 pinches salt
- 1 cup double cream
- 20 fresh figs (black, green, or both), halved lengthwise or quartered if large
- 1 pint raspberries, (about 2 1/2 cups)
Directions
Whisk honey, egg yolks, and salt in a large heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water until pale and thick, 3 to 5 minutes. Cool slightly. Whip cream to soft peaks. Whisk into honey mixture. Serve with figs and berries.
